Privacy Policy
This policy explains how SmartConstructAI collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit our websites or contact us. It covers smartconstructai.com.au and the SmartConstruct ecosystem sites hosted on its subdomains (including NicholasPorter, ScheduleTrainingHUB, xerScore and SafeSpec). Nexa Site Diary has its own app privacy policy.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What we collect
- Information you give us — your name, email address, phone number, company and anything else you include when you email, call or book a consultation.
- Purchases — if you buy a product or course, payment is handled by Stripe on its own secure pages. We receive your name, email and purchase details, but never your full card number.
- Website usage — Google Analytics records pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. It uses cookies to do this.
- Files you analyse in our free tools — tools such as xerScore process your files in your own browser. Your schedule files are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
2. How we use it
- To reply to enquiries and deliver the services or products you ask for
- To send receipts, access details and important service messages
- To understand how our websites are used and improve them
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
We only send marketing emails if you have asked to receive them, and every email includes a way to opt out. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers, only as needed to run our business:
- Website and email hosting (Digital Pacific, Australia)
- Payments (Stripe)
- Website analytics (Google Analytics)
- Our accountant or professional advisers, and government authorities where the law requires it
Some of these providers (for example Google and Stripe) may store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.
4. Cookies
Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The websites still work without them.
5. Keeping your information safe
Our websites use HTTPS encryption, and access to business email and systems is limited and password-protected. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
